Shannachie is an ancient Gaelic word for "storyteller."  God knows, we have told some stories in our time.

Since 1995 we (Pat Heffernan on guitar, vocals, songwriting and Patrick Keane on bass, vocals, and "crowd rousing") make up Shannachie.  Since 1995 we have been entertaining people with Irish pub songs, jokes and rousing audience participation.  We have performed all over New England from Newport, RI to the ski slopes of New Hampshire and everywhere in between. 

We have played at pubs, bars, weddings, private parties, civic days, holiday celebrations, graduation parties – you name it! 

We have played at: McGuirk’s Bar (Hampton, NH), the Wild Rover (Manchester, NH), AOH (Newport, RI), Finnegan’s Wake (Cambridge, MA), Beachcomber (Wollaston Beach, MA), Old Salt (Hampton, NH), Nashua Parks Summer Program, American Legion (Londonderry, NH), Killarneys Pub (Nashua, NH), several ski resorts in the Lakes Region, Blarney Stone (Derry, NH) and dozens more.
